– great YA fantasy book. Beautiful illustrations based on the authors painitngs. You know him, he wrote Hellraiser
Everything Bad is Good for You – Steven Johnson
– Great critique on our society’s tendancy to downgrade pop culture’s values. Plus there are tons of stats and psuedo stats.
Sex, Drug, and Cocoa Puffs – Chuck Klostermann
– Haven’t started reading yet, but will soon. Another pop culture criticism.
On Beauty – Zadie Smith
– Was named as a potential “Voice of the times” along with jonathan Safran Foer and a couple otehrs in Newsweek or Time. Haven’t started reading but will soon.
