Catching up on Podcasts…

My iPod battery concked out in September-ish and I have been slacking on my podcasts. Just re-subscribed to most of them, catching up on old TWiT‘s now. So please forgive me for my dusty references in the posts to come…

Also got:

– Game Theory
– NPR: Intelligence Squared
– Pop!Tech Pop!Cast Videos
– The Merlin Show
– The Sound of Young America
– This American Life
– Webnation

As well as some French, Spanish and Proj Mngmnt ones. We will see how many I still am on come this time next month.

Hilarious to listen to an old Feb edition of TWiT where they talk about the “25 Startups to watch” from Business 2.0 (2/21/07).

They are talking about social network hopping (Friendster > Orkut > MySpace > Facebook > Bebo). My new brit friends confirmed my past declarations that Bebo is more ubiquitous in the UK. They actually made MySpace pages for my US friends b/c the US friends didn’t get that Bebo was the “UK MySpace”

They are talking about Meebo now. I like the idea of using it for more of a work around to using IM on public computers, rather than as a widget for your site.

Most of the categories on the list are video sites, cell phone stalker situations, open id, enterprise solutions.

I almost feel like combing through all these old podcasts and articles and finding the nuggets that fell through the cracks the last few months. Watch out.. I’m going retro – at least to way back in Q1-07.
