Mobile content system targeting tweens/teens

The mobile user generated tool Comeks may be about to hit the big time, as the Finnish-based company just received a first round of funding from venture capital firm Accel Partners. The first Comeks product is an application that allows users to create rich visual messaging in the form of stories for mobile camera phones. This content is targeted for users between the ages of 10 and 18, and the Comeks Mobile Studios product allows for creation of the cartoons directly on the phone. These cartoons can include photos, video, text and sound mixed with rich media formats including cartoon characters, speech bubbles and graphics.

Beyond the mobile peer-to-peer communication, the company also hopes to take the Comeks platform online, and use the tools with various content holders.
