Popfly and Silverlight

Popfly is the fun, easy way to build and share mashups, gadgets, Web pages, and applications. Popfly consists of two parts:

1 Popfly Creator is a set of online visual tools for building Web pages and mashups.

2 Popfly Space is an online community of creators where you can host, share, rate, comment and even remix creations from other Popfly users.

Silverlight
is a cross-browser, cross-platform plug-in for delivering the next
generation of Microsoft .NET–based media experiences and rich
interactive applications for the Web.

Early supporters of the new platform include Akamai, Brightcove,
Eyeblaster, Limelight, Major League Baseball, Navisite, Netflix,
Skinkers, Sonic Solutions, SyncCast, Tarari, Telestream, Winnov, and
more.

Microsoft Silverlight: Light Up the Web

Is this gonna be like FrontPage was for web design?  I don’t think I can take another generation of friends asking me to make small changes to sites designed in Front Page and then spending 3 hours to find the correct tag to change.

Hopefully, this “solution for non-developers” will be empowering and open up new arenas of expression for users, instead of becoming a headache for their friends who have to fix the things they messed up.
